Job Description
Donegal Local Sports Partnership are seeking to recruit a Community Active Play Officer to coordinate and deliver on the objectives of Active Play Donegal.
Active Play’ involves a shift back to more recreational types of physical activities. ‘Active Play’ is a more-free form of play, which moves away from a very structured form of coaching to a form of play that enables children and adults of all ages to freely participate in different activities. Examples of active play include throwing ball, races, catching games, obstacle courses, hopscotch, rounders, recreational basketball, football, cricket, rounders, and many traditional games.
The successful candidate will be motivated by and committed to sports development and to increasing opportunities for participation, in particular among hard to reach groups in local communities. They will have an understanding of the public sector and community development environment.
