Speaking at the launch, Chief Executive of Donegal County Council, John G. McLaughlin, said:
“Donegal County Council is delighted to work in collaboration with Donegal Sports Partnership & The National Transport Authority in supporting Bike Week in Donegal. With a packed schedule of activities planned across the county, we encourage everyone to come out and take part in active travel. The Council is strongly committed to promoting healthy living, it’s never too late to start being active. If you’re just starting out with cycling, begin slowly, stick to flat areas, there are plenty across the county, and gradually build it up. Bring a friend along and enjoy being active together.”
