Physical activity is a fundamental aspect of a healthy lifestyle & can help improve cardio fitness, muscular endurance & bone strength. It can reduce the risk of diseases such as cancer, diabetes & cardiovascular diseases, while also being attributed to positive mental & social well-being. Physical activity Adds life to years & years to life. It is recommended that people over the age of 55 years should be getting at least 30 minutes of physical activity 5 days per week.
Activities include swim lessons, aqua aerobics, walking programmes, Go for Life games, adapted circuit sessions, group information talks, seminars & health & wellness checks.
