After years of dedicated leadership, we are bidding farewell to our CEO, Myles Sweeney. Since 2006, Myles has been at the heart of Donegal Sports Partnership, driving initiatives that have made a lasting impact on sports development and participation across the county. Under Myles’ leadership, our team has grown significantly, expanding from just 3 staff members to a group of 10, enabling us to achieve more for the community.

Dr Martin Gormley, Secretary of the Board of Directors, expressed his deepest gratitude to Myles Sweeney for his eighteen years of outstanding service and unwavering commitment to the Donegal Sports Partnership, stating:

Under Myles’ guidance, Donegal has seen significant growth in opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to engage in sport and physical activity. His passion, commitment, and vision have been the cornerstone of our success.

As Myles steps into retirement, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for his outstanding contribution. You will be greatly missed!

At the same time, we are excited to welcome Declan Boyle as our new CEO. We look forward to continuing the fantastic work of Donegal Sports Partnership under his leadership and vision.
